Cost Per Click (CPC) or Pay-Per-Click (PPC) refers to an advertising purchase model wherein the campaign owner is billed for traffic per clicked advertisement by a user. Unlike the alternative, Cost Per Mille (CPM) model, which is more effective for building brand awareness, the Cost Per Click model is best used when trying to drive campaign conversions. CPC can be a fairly powerful model, especially when used with Retargeted Ads.
